OKLAHOMA COUNTY TREATMENT COURTS TRANSFER POLICIES

Out-of-State Transfers

  • Oklahoma County Treatment Courts do not accept out-of-state transfers.

In-State Transfers

Transfers from other Oklahoma counties may be considered only if all required conditions are met.

To be considered, the following must apply:

  • The defendant lives or works in Oklahoma County.

  • The out-of-county prosecutor speaks with our office and recommends the transfer.

  • The out-of-county prosecutor is willing to transfer full jurisdiction, not just supervision, to Oklahoma County Treatment Court.

  • The out-of-county prosecutor provides a current NCIC report for the defendant.

  • The defendant’s offender screening is provided to our office.

If these conditions are met, Oklahoma County Treatment Courts will review eligibility consistent with program policies and procedures.
